Empire Protection

OK, just to start things out... I will explain Newbie Protection and Damage Protection.

Newbie Protection is simply when a Empire/player is too weak or "dumb" to defend themselves yet. This is in effect while the Empire/player has a power rating of 4,999 or lower. Power Rating (PR) is based on your population count, number of planets (each planet has some weight to it), amount of infrastruture and your fleet.

OK, now you knew a little about Newbie Protection so I will tell you about Damage Protection. Damage Protection, or referred to as DP, goes into effect when someone out of Newbie Protection takes 'too' much damage and gets protected (hint the name). DP lasts for 24 hours on GC\RT (different servers have different time limits - refer to the section "Different Servers") and 48 hours for UC. The easiest way to go into DP is lose three of your border planets. {{refer to the Managing Planets Section}} Also if you lose 40%% percent of your PR you also go into DP.
Damage Protection is lost when you either build ANY Offensive ships (Starbases and scouts do not take you out of DP) Also, you come out of DP when the time expires. You can see the time limit on your Empire Summary page.
That's it for this section on Empire Protection. Admin Alexander - you can find me in SF as SSEmpire on many different servers (RT, Ultra, Slow and UC-RT)
